Handy Mac Apps List of Mac Screen Lock Apps:

1. Screenloack 1.0 - Screenlock will keep others from using your Mac when you’re not there. It has a password field, but that’s just for confusion. The real way you quit screenlock is by holding Option and clicking Enter Password. I highly recommend you do not run this in OS X.

2. Macshareware – Small application security program. .Screenlock will keep your Mac safe while you’re not there by not allowing them access to any other programs until the user ‘unlocks’ it. However, due to how your password may be guessed, you do not unlock it with a password. You hold Option and click on Enter Password and Screenlock quits.

3. Easy Screen Lock – This is a small portable utility for Mac that will lock your screen with just one click. In order to use this tool, simply download the zip file and extract (preferably to your desktop for easy access).

4. Lock my Mac – This simple application will lock OS X while keeping your programs running in the background. Enter your password as you would at login to resume your session. Using this program in conjunction with Spotlight or Quicksilver will enable you to quickly lock your mac.
